SUN ODYSSEY 42i
Sun Odyssey Sailing Yacht Rental in Greece
The newest, stylish Sun Odyssey 42i is designed for the true sea lover by Jeanneau Design Department in cooperation with designer Marc Lombard. It is a spacious yacht, with comfortable below-deck accommodation that includes 3 cabins/ 2 head compartments, making her ideal for sailing yacht rental in Greece and the Greek Islands. Her deck layout is user-friendly, with a built-in storage for a six-man life raft across the swim platform. A drop-leaf, teak-covered cockpit table folds up when needed for entertaining and folds down to offer room to pass by. It is also a solid brace while heeling.
Wide coamings are covered with non-skid material, offering solid footing to walk on. There are cabin top handholds that run up to the mast. Side decks are uncluttered and easy to navigate due to the lower shrouds being inboard and the uppers all the way outboard.
Deck construction includes discontinuous balsa block coring with solid mat under winches and other hardware. The hull of the Sun Odyssey 42i made of solid glass.
A galley with two-burner propane stove and oven, double sinks, and top-loading fridge and freezer are to the starboard side of the main saloon. In front of this area is a dinette that can be folded to make an extra double berth. To port is the navigation station that is arranged in a way which enables users to slide the desk out when in use, and to aft when not is use, putting it out of the way of the settee.
The technical equipment is fully integrated and takes up minimal space to offer total on-board comfort. The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42i is a high-performance cruiser with convenient features such as her in-mast furler.
The Sun Odyssey 42i, a performance-oriented coastal cruiser, is a unique vessel for sailing yacht rental in Greece. This sailing yacht possesses injection-molded decks (hence the "i" in her name), which according to the builder, result in less weight, a lower center of gravity and improved structural properties due to the fact that the resin is distributed evenly.
The Sun Odyssey 42i cruises at approximately 7 knots with the 60-horsepower engine when under power and is quite stable as she spun about in her own boat length.
