Bareboats

The yachts are fully equipped, maintained by a group of specialists and meet all high safety and comfort standards of the Sun Yachting company, in order to be ready for your sailing holidays in Greece and the Greek Islands.

Every year our yachts are inspected by the Hellenic Register of Shipping and a new certificate of inspection is issued. Our yachts are equipped with all the safety equipment required such as life rafts, dinghies, life jackets, life belts etc. and all the essential navigation equipment as VHFs, echo sounders, log, wind instruments, barometers etc. We provide all Bareboats with clean laundry, comprehensive sea charts and Greek water pilots. All yachts are delivered to the charterers clean and in excellent technical condition, with full fuel and water tanks.

All tanks have to be filled up at the expense of the charterer at the time of redelivery. According to Greek Law, an official charter agreement must be signed by both the charterer and the broker. A crew list stating the passport numbers of the members must be onboard. If the crew does not have enough sailing experience, a skipper is available for hire.

All yachts are risk insured with a deductible insurance policy. This deductible must be paid in advance as a guarantee to the broker. When a charter boat is returned without damages or lost items, the total amount of the guarantee is refunded.

Every yacht is delivered and returned with the aid of an inventory check list. The inventory list and an acceptance form must be signed by the charterer. Any defective or missing items should be mentioned on the inventory list and the acceptance form before your departure for sailing holidays in Greece

Bareboat charters begin during the weekend only and from one of the following marinas:
Marina Alimos (Kalamaki), Marina Gouvia Corfu (Kerkyra), Marina Mandraki Rhodes (Rodos), Marina Kos, Marina Pythagorion Samos, Marina Skiathos, Marina Lefkada, Marina Finikas Syros.

CREWED YACHTS

The daily rate of a crewed yacht includes the crews' wages and food, yacht and crew insurance, Greek port dues and clean laundry. The daily rate does not include the passengers' personal laundry, food, liquor, Corinth Canal dues (if used), fuel and foreign port dues.

We can provide food, beverages, liquors etc. according to your instructions, if requested in advance.

We look forward to welcome you and be at your service so your sailing vacations in Greece to be the best ever!

BERTHING INFORMATION

The boat is berthed with the stern or bow to the quay and anchored by the bow or the stern respectively to hold the boat off the quay.

Some tips to carry out this manoeuvre:

Have all fenders tied on, two warps coiled and ready to throw ashore with one end cleated off.
Have the anchor ready to run.
Drop the anchor about 3 or 4 boat-lengths from the quay and make sure you have enough chain or warp to set there.
Use anchor to brake the boat about ½ a boat length off the quay.
When leaving a berth, haul yourself out with the chain or warp, using the engine sparingly until the anchor is up.
